| Hecate's Canvas: Hecate's Canvas is a brain child of mine that I first envisioned about 20 years ago. I saw Hecate's Canvas as a place to share works of creation by my hand and other artists. Hecate is a triple aspect Goddess representing the beginning, middle, and end. In her governance of life she straddles conventional boundaries, embodying all stages of the sacred, transforming and transmuting, alchemical by her very nature of being. Hecate in her dark aspect is the tool that stirs the great abyss in the form of the cauldron of creation. The art that is born of this is anything created from the deepest most sacred place within, and all of us are artists in one form or another. The originating point of this art is what is pulled out of the great abyss, the cauldron of creation. A place not to be feared, rather to be understood. For it is the dark that holds the dreams, keeping them safe so that they can fully form, and finally spring forth into a tangible reality. The Canvas is the tool in this world, where the art is splashed forth, manifest in form, to be shared. So, welcome to the canvas...... | |

The Charge of Spring Oh, sweet spring, you fill my soul with joy, Your luscious greens, so vibrant, full of life;
Oh, that I could stay wrapped, in your sweet embrace, Filled to drunkenness, on the fruits of your ripe vine;
I sing, my heart swelling full, emotions, spilling, Spilling, in deep pools, my truth exposed;
Naked as a babe, you wake the primal truth of life, Oh let me revel in your spell, woven of the ancient threads;
May I awaken yet anew, as the seedling sprouts afresh, Time erased by your youthful charge, leave me not;
Let me stand now at the gate, ready and most willing, To begin this season full of hope and joy, sharing;
Sharing, all that is love, with your cloak embracing, Embracing, all I see and holding, holding, that which is me.

The Masks we wear, so tattered and so torn, Belie the truth that sings now from our eyes;
Like cherished garments old from being worn, Reflecting mysteries that are filled with lies;
What is this fear that holds us hostage so? That keeps us tied to illusions we call truth;
Shining in the twilight's soft illusive glow, Searching desperately for some uncertain proof;
What do we see, when we look into the mirror, Illusions die only when internally we can delve;
Now stirring up our ancient primordial fears, We are dancing naked, exposing our true selves;

Winter Haiku Snow Glistening Winter Sun Crisp, clear beauty ALL ~Kat | | Winter's Embrace When wind and frost engulf the fertile land, And life struggles just to keep an upper hand;
The tender seeds buried in the earth, Sleep deeply until spring will hearken their rebirth;
Like seedlings, we do slumber and do dream, Waiting for the melting of the frozen streams;
To fill the night with purpose yet so grand, Guided by the universal mysteries loving hand;
In the darkness we ready now our reason, Preparing to commence in the coming chaste season;
Like new buds sprouting forth revived, We find our strength beckoning as first light;
Sweeping cobwebs from our dreamy minds, We rise anxious, as the season gently, now unwinds.

| I AM spirit incarnate,
A reflection of the Goddess,
Beautiful in the purest sense,
Beautiful from the core of my being,
My radiance shines forth,
From the sparkle in my eyes,
The tone of my voice,
And the movement of my body.
My radiance shines forth in the fall of my hair,
The smile on my lips, and the dew of my skin.
I AM ageless in this beauty for I AM love and all that love embodies.
I see my true essence in the mirror and others see it when they look at me.
When I feed myself I am feeding the Goddess,
When my body moves it is the Goddess that moves through me.
My every word and action comes from this place of beauty,
For I am Love,
and Beloved. ~Kat
